included:
Art Exhibition - A Festival long exhibition of paintings by
invited amateur and professional artists, with many paintings up for sale.
Quiz Night - Why not test your general
knowledge? Make up a team or join one on the night, it's up to you.
Bring a bottle and enjoy the fun.
It Takes Two - from Red Wine
Productions. This lighted hearted production uses excerpts from some of
the best loved plays of the twentieth century - all tied together with some
humourous poems. The modest ticket price of £6 includes a glass of red
wine at the interval.
An Evening with Christopher Rush - This renowned local author
will talk about his most recent book, 'Hellfire and Herring', which
tells of his experiences growing up in St. Monans in the 1940's and 50's.
Antique and Book Fair - This year we welcome eight new antique
dealers as well as some old friends. New this year: 10 second hand and
antiquarian book dealers.
Crail Small Gardens - Stroll through Crail's gardens. A
chance to see what local gardeners can achieve.
Hamish Brown's Celebration of Scotland - This is much more than
a record of hills climbed. His presentation races from topic to topic, in
turn hilarious and serious. Hamish's deep love for Scotland gives a
memorable experience.
Table Tennis for All - Coaching and Competition
An Evening with Michael Marra - Michael is widely acclaimed as
one of Scotland's most talented and original songwriters and performers.
He has toured the length and breadth of Britain from the smallest village hall
to the largest concert stage. Anyone who has witnessed his solo shows will
testify to his talent and, through his combination of humour and thought
provoking lyrics, offer insights into the human condition.
Crail Festival Orchestra - Join us for an evening of classical
music. Crail Festival Orchestra directed by Jill Craig returns for it's
fourth concert. This year they are performing a set of symphonies which
will feature Benjamin Britten's simple Symphony for
Strings, Gounod's Petite Symphonie for Winds and
Schubert's Fifth Symphony.
Lomond String Quartet - An hour's relaxing chamber music played
by the Lomond String Quartet in the beautiful surroundings of Crail's Holy
Trinity Church.
Tea Dance - Enjoy a traditional afternoon tea dance with Billy
Anderson providing the music and fun. Refreshments included.
Rab Wilson; Pie, Pint and a Poet - A
humorous, laid back evening of 'stand-up' poetry and amusing tales.
Sorry - no weans allowed!
Craft Fair - A variety of the best local crafts
organised by the Fife Craft Association. A great way to find unique gifts.
Photographic Exhibition & Competition - Come along to
the climax of our photographic exhibition with entries from talented
photographers from all over Scotland as well as our own, home grown photographic
talent. Prizes will be awarded at 2pm.
Crail Guided Walks - Discover the delights of Crail and its
history through an informative guided tour. Included, to refresh you at
the end of the walk, is Morning Coffee in the oldest secret garden in Crail or
afternoon tea in an Edwardian parlour.
Elite Falconry - From noon onwards sample a wide variety of
Middle Eastern cuisine from Ishtar Foods before the start of this amazing
falconry display.
Writers Workshop - Liz Niven is a poet and writer who has
published several poetry collections, teaches creative writing and has held
writing fellowships throughout Scotland.
Stramash in Concert - "Stramash is a unique, intoxicating
melding of jazz with contemporary Scottish and Celtic folk music. From
start to finish it was packed full with musical genius". Edinburgh
Jazz and Blues Festival 2006 review.
